Jenny earned her BA degree from Kent State University in family studies and has over 10 years of experience in childcare. As a parent of two, ages 5 and 9, Jenny understands the importance of providing you with a nurturing and educational environment where both you and your children can feel safe and secure.

Tammy Powers - Assistant Director and Young Scholars
Miss Tammy helped open the doors at the Looking Glass Learning Center. She has over 12 years experience working in the childcare field. She earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She has also received a Montessori Teaching Diploma from North American Montessori Center. Miss Tammy is excited to play such an important role in creating an educational environment where young minds can grow! She values her family time with her husband, Darin and their two children Madison, 12 and A.J., 8.

Lori Wolford- Young Explorers
Miss Lori is a full time caregiver in the Young Explorers room. She lives in Twin Lakes with her husband, Bill and their two children Bill, 9 and Elizabeth, 5. She enjoys baking as both a hobby and a profession, decorating beautiful cakes and other delicious items!

Michelle Esmonde- Young Explorers
Miss Michelle is a full time teacher at LGLC. She has a degree in psychology from Kent State. Miss Michelle loves working with children and also enjoys biking and watching movies in her free time.

Colleen Eltibi - Trail Blazers
Miss Colleen is a full time teacher in the Trail Blazers room. She has had the pleasure of working categorically with toddlers in childcare centers for seven years. She has a strong passion for working with this age group and helping big minds and little hands grow. Miss Colleen lives in Kent with two disorderly cats and a fantastic book and art collection. She is obtaining a degree from Kent State University in Human Development and Family Studies and plans to continue her education focusing on Early Intervention. She is grateful to love what she does!

Elizabeth Barholt - Trail Blazers
Miss Elizabeth is a full time teacher in the Trail Blazers room. She has many years of experience working with children. A junior majoring in Early Childhood Education, she plans many exciting and interesting activities for the children in her classroom. When not planning fabulous art projects and other sensory activities, Elizabeth enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, taking pictures, watching movies and reading books.

Nicci Lerch - Navigators
Miss Nicci opens the center and is a full time teacher in the Navigators room. She has 4 years experience in a child care center. She lives in Brimfield with her husband, Bill and three children Jackson 11, Justin 5, and Emma 3. She enjoys planning age appropriate activities and watching the children learn and grow.

Julie Freedman- Navigators
Miss Julie is a full time teacher in the Navigators room. She graduated from Kent State University with a BA in Art History and Crafts. After graduation, she began working in childcare and cannot imagine herself doing anything else. She plans to someday obtain a masters degree in education. Miss Julie enjoys incorporating her love of art into classroom activities and finds it fascinating to see the things children create. When not having fun in the classroom, Miss Julie spends her time hanging out with family, watching movies and creating artwork.

Beca Galvin- Navigators
Miss Becca works afternoons in the Navigators room. She is in the process of obtaining her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. Miss Becca loves spending time with children and planning a variety of age appropriate activities. Upon graduation, she hopes to become a kindergarten or first grade teacher. When Miss Becca is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies and playing with her cat, Muffins.

Lori Houser- Young Scholars
Miss Lori teaches in our Young Scholars classroom. She enjoys being a part of the children's learning process and plans excellent daily activities that help the children learn and grow. She lives in Kent with her husband of twenty years, Charlie and is the proud mom of Grayson, Grant and Garrett.

Brittany Smith- Young Scholars
Miss Brittany opens and closes the center. She is a full time teacher in our Young Scholars classroom and works in other classrooms as needed. Miss Brittany recently graduated from Kent State University with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She has been a nanny for three years.

Shannon Gallagher- School Age
Miss Shannon joined our Looking Glass family in March 2010 and has loved every minute of it! She works with the school age children and sometimes in the preschool room. Miss Shannon is pursing a degree at Kent State University majoring in Entrepreneurship and Fashion Merchandising. She has always enjoyed working with kids and was a 4-H counselor for many years. She continues to work with youth as a 4-H advisor teaching sewing and leadership skills. Miss Shannon lives in an old farm house in Mantua with her two cats Annabelle and Clarabelle who love to make messes! When she is not working, she enjoys spending time at home watching movies, wearing fuzzy socks, reading and cleaning.

Tori Vaccarelli- School Age
Miss Tori is a Junior at Kent State University pursuing her bachelors degree in Nursing. She is originally from Pittsburgh. MIss Lori loves spending time with children of all ages and helping them learn and grow into their own person with a unique personality. She loves dogs and is looking forward to getting a puppy when she moves into her next apartment! When Miss Tori's not working, she spends most of her time studying and with friends. Upon graduation, she plans to become a pediatric nurse to continue helping children.

Mary Lou Kline- School Age
Miss Mary was born in Meyersdale, PA and grew up in Kent. She is a graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. Before joining our Looking Glass family, she was an aide in Kent City Schools for 25 years, working with children with special needs. She has been happily married for 42 years and has a daughter and an 11 year old grandson. Miss Mary's hobbies include sewing, crossword puzzles, cross stitch, crocheting, dancing and being with children.

Jeanie Hengle- Young Explorers and Cook
Miss Jeanie assists in the Young Explorers room before preparing meals for the children. She comes to us from the Horizon House and NEOUCOM, where she worked as a program assistant for 15 years. She has a son Ryan and two grandchildren, Basil and Addison, who are her pride and joy!
